Ganesha Chaturthi Healthy Recipes-Makes US Healthy
First of all Happy Ganesha Chaturthi To all my Viewers..
“We need to understand that fitness has to be throughout the year and that has a bigger effect on your system. All you need to do is plan your fitness regime to accommodate the festivals into it.” “As soon as Ganpati is done getting back to your fitness routine is advisable. Know that there is Dussera and Diwali coming up. So enjoy during festivals rather than indulging.”As for exercise, fitness expert Leena Mogre lays emphasis on balancing workouts with moderation in diet.
1.MODAK : Modak is actually a healthy sweet dish if it's steamed. The shell of the modak is made of rice flour and the sweet filling is made of coconut and jaggery. The dumpling is either steamed or deep fried in oil. The steamed version is sometimes eaten with ghee. Modak is believed to be Lord Ganesh's favorite food and therefore has a special importance in the worship.
2.Sundal : (Name itself reminds me the beaches in tamilnadu)Making use of various pulses and legumes, sundal is a popular and healthy dish in itself. It is mostly made in south Indian households but you too can give it a try this festival season. We all know that each gram is healthy for the body to reduce fat and obesity. When mixing it into a one then it makes us more healthier than ever.Soak it in water in the night and make it in the day.
3.Puran Poli : Another favourite of Lord Ganesha, puranpoli is made of a stuffing of jaggery and coconut inside paranthas known as polis. In its healthier version, we use sesame seeds and dates to make the stuffing of the polis. This packs in the sweetness and also provides good amounts of iron to your body. The dish is good for expecting women too.
4.Baked Karanjis : Karanji or gujia is often made by deep frying it and stuffing it with sweet ingredients. But this version makes use of moong dal along with other nutritious ingredients like dry fruits, saffron, etc and since it is baked, it is healthier than its fried counterpart. Though many people make this dish for Diwali, it is quite popular during Ganesha Chaturthi as well.
